What you are about to read is not a normal book. This is one of the first written in TV-show themed format- not a script, but not a book either. For example, large groups of chapters (Episodes) are released in "Seasons", each Episode begins with a Season recap and short Flashback/forward or other scene; and ends with a preview of the following Episode(s). An Episode will be posted weekly during a Season.
The point of this formatting is to help with the visualization and suspense, and also allows readers to get small parts of a long story periodically instead of waiting several years for it to be published. While reading Dead Limit, imagine it as if you were watching it on television.
